G2Elite English

G2Elite offers time-tested reading and writing classes that are designed to develop your child’s critical reasoning, comprehension, and communication abilities. The G2Elite English programs are meant to guide your child through a vast library of famous novella, helping them enhance their vocabulary, think critically and analytically about literature, and express and articulate their thoughts and ideas in both verbal discussion and writing.

G2Elite English
(Available for Grades K to 8)

Honors Review English is designed to make your child an attentive reader by teaching him or her to identify and extract important information from literature, analyze its content, and apply it to real-world situations. This class will expose your child to an array of sophisticated fiction novels and teach them to recognize themes and analyze characters and events. In addition, students will be given vocabulary assignments and worksheets to challenge them to dig deeper into meaning and message of the novel.

Honors Review English provides:

  • One novel with weekly worksheets consisting of open-ended questions and vocabulary assignments
  • Classroom discussion and analysis of the novel
  • Weekly review and quiz of vocabulary words from the novel

Reading Club
(Available for Grades 1-6)

The goal of the Reading Club is to instill a love and appreciation for literary works of art in younger children. The Reading Club goes through highly recommended books, especially Newberry Award winning texts, and has students answer critical thinking questions pertaining to the book’s mood, themes, characters, structure, and style. In class, students are challenged to discuss their answers in a group setting, encouraging students to interact aggressively with the text and defend their analysis of the narrative with confidence.

Reading Club provides:

  • 1 novel to be read in 5-6 weeks
  • Classroom discussion and analysis of the novel
  • Reading Club worksheets designed to promote discussion and analysis
  • Review and quiz of vocabulary words taken from the context of the novel
  • Final book report assignment after the completion of the novel

Masters Reading & Vocab
(Available for Grades 3-8)

Masters Reading & Vocabulary prepare students for statewide critical reading tests from New Jersey ASK to SAT. The most difficult thing for students to improve is critical and analytical reading skills. Compared to Mathematics or Writing, Critical Reading is far more nebulous and difficult to learn. Setting them up for success in reading comprehension starts at a young age. Although it does take time and the tangible results are not immediate, critical reading is not only vital to success on all standardized tests, but a prerequisite to being successful in an elite university and in the modern workforce.

Masters Reading & Vocabulary provides students with a plethora of excerpted reading passages from celebrated yet challenging literary works, along with multiple choice and open-ended questions designed to help students approach the passage analytically and develop inference abilities. We cap the class at 5 students so that each student can get the attention they need.
